India, partner countries align on AI regulation approach

The consensus was arrived at the sixth meeting of the GPAI Ministerial Council
This meeting was held on the 3rd July in New Delhi.
The meeting was chaired by India’s minister of state for electronics and information technology Jitin Prasada.
India along with 43 countries on Wednesday adopted a consensus about the future vision of Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), which includes the regulatory framework around AI technology.
Officials from Japan, Serbia, UNESCO, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) also attended the meeting.
