The study commissioned by Slack found that the percentage of workers in the U.S. who say they are using AI at work has remained largely flat over the last three months, increasing by just 1 percentage point to 33%.
Globally, the adoption of AI use at work rose from 32% to 36%.
However, the study also found that nearly half of workers globally (48%) said they were uncomfortable telling their managers they use AI at work, citing fears of being seen as lazy, cheating, or incompetent.
The study suggests that leaders need to do more to train workers and encourage them to openly discuss and experiment with AI.
