Pilot to give AI regulation advice to UK entrepreneurs
- The government has launched a pilot scheme that will provide entrepreneurs with informal advice on AI regulations.
- The AI and Digital Hub will see regulators including the Competition and Markets Authority, Ofcom, the Financial Conduct Authority, and the Information Commissioner’s Office share information with businesses to help them navigate the UK’s regulatory environment.
- The pilot, which is being supported with “close to £2m” in government funding, will run for 12 months.
- The government will then assess the long-term viability of the scheme.
- The AI and Digital Hub will also serve as an opportunity for businesses to provide feedback on regulations.
