A draft Code of Practice for providers of general-purpose AI models, as outlined under the European Union’s AI Act, has been published for review.
Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback by November 28, as the drafting process progresses into next year, ahead of upcoming compliance deadlines over the next few years.
The AI Act, which came into effect earlier this summer, introduces a risk-based framework for regulating AI applications across the EU.
It also includes specific provisions targeting advanced foundational or general-purpose AI models (GPAIs).
