Malaysia: MOSTI publishes National Guidelines on AI Governance and Ethics

On September 20, 2024, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) published the National Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics Guidelines (AIGE).
Specifically, the guidelines provide a framework to ensure the safe use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology through compliance with the principles of responsible AI.
The guidelines are intended for three main stakeholder groups: end users of AI; policymakers in government agencies, organizations, and institutions; and developers, technology providers, and suppliers.
