Shannon Hong (she/her) is a tech ethics researcher and practitioner. She is currently a fellow at the Open Future Foundation and Creative Commons, researching democratic methods of governing and creating artificial intelligence. Previously, as a product manager at Scale AI, she led technical teams to design data labeling products for AI applications. She is a mentor with All Tech is Human, and serves on the Public Interest Technology working group. At Berkeley, Shannon studied economic development and data science.
