Roberta Cocco is a leading figure in digital transformation and public-private technology policy. She currently works as an industry specialist for IT/Digital at private equity firm Clessidra Private Equity SGR and serves as an independent Board Member at Banca Generali S.p.A.
Earlier, she spent 25 years at Microsoft Italia and Microsoft Western Europe, rising to Central Marketing Director and later leading development of national-level Digital Agenda projects across 12 countries. She brought that experience to public service as Deputy Mayor for Digital Transformation and Civic Services for the Municipality of Milan (2016–2021), where she spearheaded infrastructure upgrades, rolled out citizen-facing digital services, and led city-wide digital literacy campaigns—helping transform Milan into a technology-forward smart city.
As a university instructor—an adjunct professor at LIUC–Cattaneo University and a lecturer at Bocconi University—she teaches brand management, public-administration innovation, and big-data applications for public services. Passionate about inclusivity and gender equity in tech, Cocco founded initiatives like Nuvola Rosa (2013) to train girls in STEM—later inspiring a Europe-wide movement (#MakeWhatsNext) to close the gender gap in ICT.
Roberta Cocco blends private-sector digital-strategy experience, public governance, and academic insight—making her a key architect of digital transformation at institutional and civic levels across Italy and Europe.
