Mehdi Jomaa is a Tunisian engineer turned statesman who served as Prime Minister of Tunisia from January 2014 to February 2015. Before that, he was Minister of Industry, where he led efforts to reform industrial policy, promote renewable energy, and rationalize subsidies. Prior to public service, he spent 25 years at Hutchinson (part of the Total group), rising to CEO of its Aerospace Division and gaining deep experience in international business and organizational leadership. After his premiership, he founded the think tank “Tunisian Alternatives” and remains active globally through his membership in Club de Madrid, contributing to democratic governance, inclusive policy dialogue, and regional stability across North Africa and beyond.
