Katya Klinova is Head of AI and Data Insights for Social and Humanitarian Action at UN Global Pulse — the United Nations Secretary-General’s Innovation Lab — where she leads data-driven initiatives to apply AI for disaster response, humanitarian aid, and social impact. She has overseen the development of AI-enabled tools to accelerate damage-assessment from satellite imagery, map population mobility, and support rapid humanitarian decision-making. Previously, she worked in the UN Executive Office of the Secretary-General to help launch global technology-strategy initiatives, and has held roles at tech companies shaping early AI-enabled services. Katya’s work spans policy, ethics, and operational deployment of AI for public good.
