Joseph D. Morelle is U.S. Representative for New York’s 25th Congressional District, a seat he has held since November 2018. Prior to Congress, he served nearly three decades in public service — first as a member of the Monroe County Legislature, then in the New York State Assembly from 1991 to 2018, where he was Majority Leader from 2013 to 2018. As Congressman, Morelle has focused on expanding access to healthcare, promoting economic growth, supporting small business and job creation, and strengthening gun-safety legislation, including background-check reforms and assault-weapons restrictions. He continues to represent his Rochester–area constituents with a commitment to public service and community well-being.
