Francesca Rossi is an IBM Fellow and the company’s Global Leader for AI Ethics, where she guides the development of responsible AI principles, governance models, and technical approaches that support trustworthy innovation. An internationally recognized expert in artificial intelligence, she has contributed extensively to research in AI ethics, preference reasoning, and human-AI collaboration. Prior to joining IBM, she was a professor of computer science with a distinguished academic career in AI research. Francesca has served in leadership roles across major AI organizations and global policy forums, helping shape frameworks that ensure AI technologies align with human values and societal needs.
