Eric Loeb is Executive Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy at Salesforce, a role he has held since 2018.
He leads Salesforce’s worldwide engagement with governments, regulators, and civil-society, shaping policy on technology, trade, AI, data privacy, and related issues. Before Salesforce, Loeb held senior international regulatory and external-affairs roles at major telecommunications firms — giving him decades of experience navigating global legal, policy and regulatory environments.
Loeb is recognized for his skills in public policy, technology regulation, and cross-border advocacy. In the context of AI, he has publicly supported risk-based regulatory approaches — advocating that frameworks should differentiate high-risk from low-risk AI systems rather than apply a one-size-fits-all rule.
He also chairs the United States Council for International Business (USCIB), reinforcing his influence across business, policy, and international trade.
