Dr. Brennan Spiegel is Director of Health Services Research at Cedars-Sinai Health System and holds the Gourrich Chair in Digital Health Ethics. He is also Professor of Medicine and Public Health at UCLA. He leads the Cedars-Sinai Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CS-CORE) and directs the Virtual Medicine (vMed) program, pioneering medical applications of virtual reality (VR), biosensors, and digital-health tools. His work has helped define the emerging field of Medical Extended Reality (MXR), applying immersive technologies to alleviate pain, anxiety, and chronic illness. As author of books including VRx, he bridges clinical practice, research, and public education on how tech can transform care.
