Earl L. “Buddy” Carter has served as U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 1st Congressional District since 2015. Before Congress, he spent decades running Carter’s Pharmacy — giving him deep experience in healthcare and small business. He also held local and state offices, including Mayor of Pooler, membership in the Georgia House of Representatives (2005–2009), and the Georgia State Senate (2009–2014). In Congress, Carter sits on key committees including the House Energy and Commerce and the House Budget Committee, advocating for healthcare reform, small business interests, fiscal restraint, and coastal-region issues relevant to his coastal Georgia district.
