Aditya Thadani is the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence Platforms at H&R Block, a role he has held since April 2016. With a background that spans enterprise architecture (including positions at Ecolab and earlier at General Motors), he brings strong skills in cloud migration, data engineering, and large-scale system architecture. Under his leadership, H&R Block migrated over 20 million clients’ solutions to the public cloud and now runs core AI-driven operations on that foundation.

In AI, Thadani has overseen the development of tools such as AI Tax Assist — a generative AI platform built in partnership with Azure OpenAI Service. This system helps users prepare and file tax returns by answering questions, offering guidance on deductions and credits, and translating tax code complexity into plain English.  Thadani’s work reflects expertise in responsible AI deployment, data privacy, and transforming traditional financial-services workflows through scalable, user-friendly AI solutions
