The Artificial Intelligence Act is a proposed law for EU countries. AI will be regulated by EU law, possibly amended with small national additions. In 2022, the legislator passed amendments to the German works council statute, according to which the works council is granted additional rights if AI use is intended by the employer. They have additional consulting rights and are granted an expert at the employer’s expense.
