The Artificial Intelligence Act a proposed law for EU countries. The Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation (CYS), will establish a National Commission constituting of technical experts from the public and private sectors to monitor and evaluate the work of International and European Committees on AI. It will also be responsible to apply and introduce AI standards in all sectors of the Cypriot economy.

The Mauritius Financial Services Commission issued the Financial Services
(Robotic and Artificial Intelligence Enabled Advisory Services) Rules 2021 on
18 June to provide a regulatory framework and promote the adoption of
new and emerging technologies by licensed service providers in Mauritius. » There is no specific legislation governing AI or addressing the ethical
and legal issues arising from the use of AI (such as liability, privacy,
discrimination and data bias). However, recent sector-specific
regulations, such as the Federal Data Protection Law, the DIFC
Data Protection Law and the Health Data law, all deal with privacy
implications of decisions made through machine learning tools.Dubai
has implemented non-binding guidelines to provide some regulation
and guidance on the development and ethical use of AI. There are a
number of AI related initiatives on going in the UAE at the government
level, including the appointment of a Minister of State for Artificial
Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications Office
